Damien Chazelle’s ‘Vertical Cinema’ – Shot On An iPhone!

In the digital age of phones, we are more used to vertical screens than ever before. While the internet-of-things is constantly evolving, it is also adapting to be a part of your phone’s screen. And so is the cinema through OTT platforms. However, a new trend is emerging where you won’t have to turn your phone sideways for a full-screen experience. Apple recently released a vertical-screen short film directed by Damien Chazelle. They simply called it ‘Vertical Cinema’.

Even though Vertical Cinema is just about 5 minutes, it time-travels between multiple eras of Hollywood. From black & white to the grungy wild west, to the musical and action adventures of yesteryears. This film can take you back in time and yet make a cinematic experience on a vertical screen.

Check out the flick which, of course, is best previewed on a phone.
